I am not trying to question your intent just trying to get some knowledge of facts. However your reasoning suggests that there are numbers available to overflow from EB2 World to EB2 India. What if there are just enough numbers to keep EB2 World rolling. I will be interesting in learning more about how these allocations work. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

In fact, I got laid off recently, my LC gone, which was filed on Sep,2004. I am looking for job again on my 8th year H1B extension. In this uncertain future it is better to return home for me.

To go one step further on your point, the whole world should have a better understanding and expectation of employment-based immigration to America. When the fact is out, it is really up to the indivdual to make an informed decision without complainting.

you came here thinking they will love you because of your math skills.
what actually happened: they took all the credit, and 10-15 years of your career without letting you progress.

Hey Sparky_Jones,
You are the first guy whose case was transferred to CSC and you got the FP notices. Can you shed more light as many pople, like me, are stuck with no FP notices and we all had Receipts/EAD/AP from CSC...And now the files are back to either NSC or TSC...

Did you recieve the RFE yet ?What was it about. Mine is a similar case. We both have LUDs on 02/10 and my wife's 485 recieved an RFE email today.
Not yet. Did not hear from my attorney either. My 485 got another LUD today. Did any of the folks receive the actual RFE? Please post details once you get it, and I will do the same.

When they ask 245i (April 2001 Deadline) people to submit the application for legal status (Labor.. i-140 ..etc) why didn't they also create the VISA Number for them?

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

It is not that i have full basket of apples now... my previous 2-employers promised me to start labor...but they did not do it..even i sent my docs 2-times to the previous employer ..but they gave lie assurances & very dumb...so i have lost my 2.5 years just waiting on their promises...& nothing got.
Finally, I made up my mind ...either to get it on fast track OR leave this option... forever.
I don't see anything wrong in it...as the previous person already left that labor unused... & employer needs those skills..which he found in me.
I would advise you to not worry about the naysayers on this thread!!

Here are a few reasons why I want to get the gc:
1) freedom to change jobs to make a higher salary so that I don't have to work two H1 jobs simultaneously
2) freedom to change your career track into another area, which cannot be done even with AC21 (job has to be essentially the same position)
3) freedom to travel out of the country and back in without going to Canada/Mexico each year for revalidation, for not only personal but even urgent busines trips. I get to see my family and friends, and not spend hundreds of $ in govt and legal fees
4) freedom to quit a job because the company/boss sucks
5) freedom to make enough money so that I can take a break from any job for a while (yes, this is actually a possibility if you have a well-enough paying job)
6) freedom to have one's dependents take advantage of benefits like in-state tuition, and other benefits residency brings
7) and finally freedom from the immense stress that I will lose my job and consequently all the time I have spent waiting for my gc, perhaps uproot myself and have to return to a place where I may not necessarily feel is home anymore
So am I doing what I really want?

To me, holding that GC in my hand would mean that I haven't gone through all the ordeals I have gone through so far for no reason...
